After high school graduation I worked full time as a draftsman while attending art school in the evening. My goal to earn a BFA was interrupted by the Draft and two years in the US Army. Four months later a small pencil drawing of my combat boots got the attention of one of my company members, resulting in commissions for several large charcoals of the boots as well as portraits.
